Hace unos días los admiradores de las grandes joyas se quedaron pasmados ante el anuncio de que una pieza histórica saldría a pública subasta.
Impecable, de diseño gótico tardío, realizada entre 1830–1846, de manufactura desconocida hasta el momento, esta fantástica joya se ve muy actual.
Su peculiaridad, es que los nueve elementos que descansan sobre el bandeau de tres hileras de brillantes, que actúa de base se pueden retirar de la misma y ser lucidos como broches individualmente.

Impeccable, late Gothic design, made between 1830–1846, manufacture unknown until now, this fantastic jewel looks very current.

Cinco zafiros, de Birmania del más bello azul de corte oval, ochavado sin exposición al calor, con un peso aproximado a los 35 Cts. serán la pieza central de cinco de los nueve broches, numerados del uno al nueve, los cuales siempre deben ser fijados de la misma manera en la base ya que como podemos observar en la foto algunos de ellos son más anchos que los otros.
One thousand one hundred and forty-five brilliant-cut diamonds, weighing approximately 95 Cts. being the most important of excellent quality, as described by the appraiser of the piece in 1853. Five sapphires, from Burma of the most beautiful blue oval cut, octagonal have without exposure to heat, weighing approximately 35 Cts. Una pieza interesante si pensamos que en esa época los broches de devant-corsage y también los stomachers estaban en boga y con estos elementos se podía formar una bellísimo dibujo que armonizaría a la perfección en cualquier atuendo de la época.Sabemos que este medio aderezo se acompañaba de un broche y un brazalete así vemos a la reina reflejada en una obra pictórica de 1846.

Seis años más tarde la princesa Birgitta llevará las mismas joyas que lució su suegra en aquella oportunidad para asistir a la boda de su prima hermana, Margarita de Dinamarca, actual soberana.
